The appearance of failures and breakdowns is one of the principal reasons of inefficiency in the exploitation of the equipments, systems and industrial facilities because they cause an increase of the operative costs and a loss of income. In some cases, even an accident causing important damages for the persons or the environment can stem from those breakdowns.
